Operator Quality - Material Testing Metallography (m/f/d)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Metallographic testing:
• Sample taking and system registration
• Cutting of the sample, grinding and chemical treatment of the sample section
• Operating the microscope to observe the metallographic structure
• Measurement of metallographic penetration and penetration width
• Preparation of the test results and recording in the system
• Management of the test material
• Daily inspection of test equipment and responsibility for 5S in the laboratory area

Your talents and skills:

• Completed vocational training as a materials tester in metal technology or comparable, technical vocational training
• Professional experience in the destructive materials testing of metals and in metallography
• Knowledge of welding is an advantage
• Ability to use software such as Microsoft Office, Minitab, etc., and to perform statistical analysis
• Good communication skills: clear, logical expression in reporting
• Very good knowledge of English is desirable
