Maintenance

The tasks in facility engineering are diverse. They include the construction, operation and improvement of buildings and technical facilities. Our employees ensure that the production facilities are supplied with the necessary materials and that the room conditions for production, test and office rooms are always in the optimum range.

The task of maintenance is to guarantee smooth production operations. At CATL, the production of batteries and modules is highly automated. Numerous robots and automatic guided vehicles are used. For this reason, maintenance plays a particularly important role at CATL in order to achieve the targeted production figures.

The primary goal is, of course, to keep the downtimes of the systems as low as possible, says Felix, an employee in the maintenance department. Maintenance and preventive maintenance are particularly important in this regard. "So that we can identify and solve faults before they occur" he reports further. This is done with the help of state-of-the-art software, which is used to determine the live status of the various systems and to control spare parts management.
