SV09 Arnstadt has been an integral part of the region’s sporting life for over a century, embodying values such as trust, openness, determination, and a strong connection to the city and its people. Since 2023, CATL has been a proud partner of this traditional club – and now this partnership is being extended and further strengthened.

In the first year of the collaboration, CATL and SV09 demonstrated what true teamwork looks like: from joint environmental initiatives like litter collection on International Environment Day (2023 and 2024) to the CATL Summer Grill Fest 2024 in Arnstadt and Erfurt, where SV09 brought excitement with a goal-shooting wall.

SV09 represents not only sporting success but also passionate youth development, education, and integration. With over 100 years of history and as the largest recreational sports club in the Ilm district, SV09 engages people of all ages in disciplines ranging from football to table tennis.

Table tennis, in particular, holds a special place at SV09 and creates a cultural bridge for some CATL employees for whom the sport has a special significance from their home in China. The partnership therefore also gives our international colleagues an opportunity to connect with the region and actively participate in community life through club sports.

"This cooperation is real integration," CATL adds. "Over 60 nations work under one roof at our company – many are new to Thuringia and find a sense of belonging through clubs like SV09. Sport is a universal language that connects people."

Founded in 1905, SV09 Arnstadt is today the largest recreational sports club in the Ilm district. With a wide range of sports offerings, dedicated youth programs, and deep regional roots, the club is a cornerstone of Arnstadt and the surrounding region.
