What tasks await you?

  • Achieve KPIs for customs operations and trade compliance;
  • Obtain customs authorizations from NTCA (Normal/Simplified Procedures, End-Use, AEO);
  • Manage daily import/export customs clearance operations;
  • Oversee and optimize relationships with customs brokers;
  • Track shipment status and ensure timely customs processing;
  • Review and approve all import/export documentation before submission;
  • Maintain accurate customs master data and compliance reports;
  • Establish and enforce customs rules and regulations;
  • Lead AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification processes;
  • Drive continuous improvement in customs procedures;
  • Resolve customs-related issues and clarify regulatory questions;
  • Conduct internal customs audits and implement corrective actions;
  • Apply special customs policies when beneficial (duty savings, trade programs);
  • Review and optimize broker costs and approve payments;
  • Ensure full compliance with all customs regulations.

 

You are the perfect candidate if you:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in International Trade, Logistics or related field;
  • Possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience in customs clearance operations;
  • Have in-depth knowledge of EU and Hungarian customs regulations;
  • Are proficient in:
    • HS code classification
    • Certificate of origin procedures
    • AEO certification processes
    • Bonded warehouse operations (experience preferred);
  • Are fully bilingual in English and Hungarian;
  • Demonstrate strong communication and organizational abilities;
  • Excel in team collaboration and cross-functional work;
  • Are available to work on-site in Debrecen.

It’s an advantage if you have the following:

  • Experience in the automotive industry (Tier 1 supplier);
  • Knowledge of automotive customer portals;
  • Experience in battery manufacturing.
