What tasks await you?
- Achieve KPIs for customs operations and trade compliance;
- Obtain customs authorizations from NTCA (Normal/Simplified Procedures, End-Use, AEO);
- Manage daily import/export customs clearance operations;
- Oversee and optimize relationships with customs brokers;
- Track shipment status and ensure timely customs processing;
- Review and approve all import/export documentation before submission;
- Maintain accurate customs master data and compliance reports;
- Establish and enforce customs rules and regulations;
- Lead AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification processes;
- Drive continuous improvement in customs procedures;
- Resolve customs-related issues and clarify regulatory questions;
- Conduct internal customs audits and implement corrective actions;
- Apply special customs policies when beneficial (duty savings, trade programs);
- Review and optimize broker costs and approve payments;
- Ensure full compliance with all customs regulations.
You are the perfect candidate if you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in International Trade, Logistics or related field;
- Possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience in customs clearance operations;
- Have in-depth knowledge of EU and Hungarian customs regulations;
- Are proficient in:
• HS code classification
• Certificate of origin procedures
• AEO certification processes
• Bonded warehouse operations (experience preferred); - Are fully bilingual in English and Hungarian;
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational abilities;
- Excel in team collaboration and cross-functional work;
- Are available to work on-site in Debrecen.
It’s an advantage if you have the following:
- Experience in the automotive industry (Tier 1 supplier);
- Knowledge of automotive customer portals;
- Experience in battery manufacturing.
