Quality Engineer - Process Quality (m/f/d)

Your duties and responsibilities:

 

- Resolving quality issues:

  • Coordinate and guide the application of 8D processes and other quality tools to resolve quality issues in the production process
  • Promote the implementation of improvement measures and their validation in the production-related environment
  • Responsibility for the "Lesson Learned" process
  • Contributing to a standard problem-solving strategy and the continuous improvement process
  • Control of the handling of non-conforming products and creation of quality alarms

- Risk management:

  • Identify potential quality risks in the production process by preparing a risk assessment and initiating the mitigation and prevention measures.
  • Coordinating and monitoring product and process changes in mass production.
  • Standardization of the system:
  • Creating and updating documents relevant to the quality system and instructing those involved internally and externally.
  • Development of standardization for the handling of product- and process-related deviations

- Quality-related inspections:

  • Monitoring of core process parameters of production (monitoring of Cpk and ppm) as well as deriving measures in case of deviations incl. reporting
  • Implementation of customer requirements regarding specific inspection characteristics
  • Review of control plans/process standards/work instructions etc.
  • Machine qualification
  • Carrying out internal audits (process and product audits)
     

 

Your talents and skills:
 

  • A successfully completed engineering degree (e.g. in mechanical engineering, materials science, mechatronics, electronics or chemistry)
  • Relevant professional experience in the quality area in the automotive environment (basic knowledge of semiconductor or battery production is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing or processing techniques such as stamping, welding, electrophoretic coating, electroplating or injection moulding
  • Application knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, FTA, 8D, 6Sigma, SPC)
  • Basic knowledge of the ISO9000/ IATF16949/ VDA quality system is an advantage
  • Basic ability for statistical analysis and report writing
  • Very good English and German communication skills
  • Experience in KPI-oriented work
