Quality Engineer - Supplier Quality (m/w/d)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for supplier quality management - from material development in the pre-project phase to material management in mass production
  • Carrying out process and product audits as well as fixed point evaluation for new suppliers
  • Feasibility assessment for quality improvement
  • Supplier management, such as (un)regular audits (VDA6.3-6.5 / annual audit / product audit)
  • Coordination of supplier changes
  • Dealing with abnormal incoming materials, supporting process quality in analysing and dealing with problems with incoming materials on the production line and customer complaints, as well as coordinating 8D analysis of incoming materials

 

 

Your talents and skills:

 

  • Successfully completed engineering studies (e.g. in the field of mechanical engineering, mechanics, electronics, materials science or chemistry)
  • relevant professional experience in the quality area in the automotive environment
  • Knowledge of the quality systems ISO9000/TS16949/VDA etc. and with quality improvement tools (e.g.: FMEA, FTA, 8D, 6Sigma,SPC)
  • Qualification as IATF16949 internal auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt, VDA 6.3/6.5 auditor
  • Knowledge of various processing techniques such as stamping, welding, electrophoretic coating, electroplating and injection moulding
  • Very good English and German communication skills as well as experience in KPI-oriented work incl. reporting
  • Willingness to travel and possession of a driving licence
