Safety Technician
Your tasks will be:
• Conduct safety inspections and audits, drive completion of corrective actions
• Write safety reports and communicate them to stakeholders
• Assist in implementation of safety management system and programs, like safety training, emergency drills, fire safety management
• Support safety engineer to develop and implement annual emergency drill plan
• Purchase materials or service that EHS department needs, including but not limited to PPE, firefighting equipment, labels, first aid supplies, etc.
• Assist safety engineer completing regulatory compliance tasks on time
• Manage inventory of PPE, firefighting equipment, emergency response materials, etc.;
• Oversee the safety management of contractors on site
• Provide training and safety education to employees
• Other tasks assigned by EHS manager and safety engineer
What we expect from you:
• A high school or bachelor degree in in the field of safety engineering/technology, fire protection, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of EHS work experience
• Knowledge of labor protection and occupational health regulation and legislation
• Basic knowledge of ISO 45001
• Knowledge of preparing an occupational health and safety risk assessment
• Basic knowledge of fire protection legal requirements
• Knowledge of machine and equipment commissioning requirements is an advantage
• Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced, collaborative environment and creatively problem-solve
• Fluent in English and Hungarian
