IT System Engineer

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Configure, deploy, and maintain MES modules to support production, quality, logistics, and traceability processes.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts for MES data analysis and reporting.
• Integrate MES with PLCs, SCADA systems, ERP (e.g., SAP), and other factory IT systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot MES system issues to minimize downtime and ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Production, Process, Quality, Maintenance).
• Support system validation, version upgrades, and change management activities.
• Provide MES-related training and documentation for end users.
• Participate in digitalization and Industry 4.0 projects within the factory.

You are the perfect candidate if you obtain:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL (query optimization, database management, data modeling) – mandatory.
• Experience with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Wonderware, etc.) is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) – mandatory, due to daily collaboration with Chinese engineering and IT teams.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes in the battery, electronics, or automotive industry is a strong plus.
• Understanding of PLC/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

It’s an advantage if you have the following:

• Familiarity with the ITIL methodology
• Experience in IT project management
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or with production systems
• Knowledge of information security principles
