The Fire Protection Technician is responsible for the maintenance and inspection of fire protection systems. He or she is responsible for ensuring the functionality of fire extinguishers, fire alarms and other fire protection equipment. He or she will also provide fire safety training, prepare fire codes and help enforce fire safety regulations in the workplace. He carries out regular audits and provides fire safety advice where necessary.
Your tasks will be:
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Regular inspection and maintenance of fire protection systems.
- Planning and implementing fire prevention measures.
- Conduct risk analyses, identify and eliminate sources of danger.
- Organising and conducting fire safety training for employees.
- Preparing and updating fire safety documentation.
- Participating in official inspections, supporting fire investigations.
- Cooperation with the safety and maintenance team.
What we expect from you:
- Qualification as a fire protection technician or relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation and regulations.
- Accurate, thorough work and a responsible attitude.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office programs at user level.
